The Mechatronica 80mm Wide Ball Screw Linear Actuator is built for compact precision without compromising on strength. Designed around the widely used 20 Series Aluminium Extrusion (20x80mm) and fitted with dual MGN linear rails and two precision bearings, this actuator is ideal for lightweight CNC systems, pick-and-place robotics, and automation where accuracy and reliability are critical.

12mm End Plates

Compact, Integrated Coupling System

16mm Diameter Ball Screw with 10mm Pitch
A precision-ground 16mm ball screw with a 10mm lead pitch provides an excellent balance between high-speed travel and fine motion control. With minimal friction and high thrust capacity, it ensures smooth, repeatable movement across a wide range of industrial and automation tasks.

Preloaded Nuts for Simplified Integration
Each actuator includes a set of 8 x M4 T-Nuts (4 per side) and 8 x M6 T-Nuts (bottom face) pre-installed inside the extrusion. This allows for fast, secure, and highly adaptable mounting of the actuator into your system without additional hardware or modifications. The combination of sizes gives you flexibility to attach your actuator to both lightweight fixtures and heavy-duty frames as well as adding Inductive Switches to it.


30mm Precision Gantry Plate + MGN12 Bearings
At the core of the linear motion system is a 30mm thick CNC-machined gantry plate mounted on dual MGN12 linear bearings. The plate includes 4x M5 tapped spaced at 30 and 60mm centre-to-centre offering an adaptable platform for mounting tools, fixtures, sensors, or secondary axis systems.
Motor Compatibility — NEMA17 & NEMA23
The mounting system is designed for direct compatibility with both NEMA17 and NEMA23 stepper motors, giving you a versatile range of motion control options. No custom brackets or modifications required — just bolt on your preferred motor and go.
